How did KuruGuru's story begin? What is the source of inspiration?
KuruGuru investment was a decision made in August 2018. There has been an R&D project ongoing since 2012 that aimed to develop a natural air drying infrastructure using renewable energy sources such as solar, biomass, and geothermal energy. Our foundation lies in a continuous legacy of sustainable fruit, vegetable, and herb gardens along the fertile shores of the eastern Mediterranean, this legacy traces back to our historic trade connections with Ancient Greece and Rome.
Why Air-Dry technology over other alternatives?
Dried food plays a vital role in providing consumers with food options all year round. The method of drying food is of importance to us. Each drying technique has its advantages and disadvantages. Methods like frying, roasting, and baking may lead to nutrient loss or require additives. Optimal nutrition is achieved by focusing on single ingredients and preserving the essence of the product. We have found air drying to be the most ideal method. Our mission is to offer an exciting range of healthy snacks and flavors that resonate with the modern desire to reconnect with nature through food. We adhere to the principle of “flavors from nature to mankind.”

Developed with a focus on a low carbon footprint, KURUGURU®’s patented Air-Dried technology ensures the rapid removal of the moisture from fruits while preserving their freshness and texture. Situated within the forests of Antalya, our KuruGuru® farm hosts air-drying facilities where clean air is filtered and heated by using solar and bio-mass fuel in drying cabinets. During the drying process, moisture-laden air, resulting from dehydration, is swiftly eliminated, ensuring continuous fresh air circulation. This not only protects the products from undesired issues such as mold but also achieves a homogeneous and balanced drying. To meet preferences for a crunchy texture with nutrient values close to the original, our Air-Dried products can be dried either in chewy or crispy forms. Optionally our fruit drying processes has the ability to dry fruits with or without peels based on preference. Products can be produced in whole, cube, or slice forms, depending on the type of fruit.
